But what is the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thewittyfish.com\/best-food-for-koi-fish\/\">best food for koi fish<\/a>?\u00a0Always read the label of any food you consider purchasing, and look for the following ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0<i>Protein.<\/i>\u00a0The first ingredient should be either fish meal or soy.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0<i>Fats.\u00a0<\/i>Young koi need 10% fats and adults need 3% fats in their diet.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0<i>Carbohydrates.<\/i>\u00a0Look for rose hips, soybeans, corn, or wheat in the first 5 ingredients.<\/li>\n<li><i>\u00a0 Vitamins and minerals<\/i>.
